The moment you have finished and published your campaign is actually just the beginning of the entire advertising process. A good marketer will carefully monitor its performance and analyze the results. In this lesson, I will show you how to properly evaluate the performance of a campaign.
The first thing you need to know is that there are two types of results you can see. The first category is available to you through the Dashboard section and through them you can create a framework image for all your campaigns. You can find the second category by opening the Campaign section. Here you will find data that will allow you to analyze the performance of each individual campaign in more detail, but also to check data related to ad groups and the ads themselves.
The Dashboard should be your first stop after logging in to the system. Here you can find basic information, such as, for example, daily consumption in relation to the total account balance or an insight into the number of active campaigns, ad groups and ads. Their effect is broken down by different categories, such as gender, placement or type of operating system. There is also a table where you can track your activities in different periods during one day (Dayparting).
In the Campaign section, you can see all the details about your campaigns, ad groups and ads. If you are dealing with several campaigns at the same time, displaying individual pages is not the best solution, so I suggest you use the filter button and apply different criteria to analyze and view only those campaigns that are really important to you. It is also possible to use the name of the campaign or its ID for the search. After that, you will have the opportunity to change the selection of displayed columns and in this way select the ones that interest you the most. To this end, it is enough to activate the Custom columns option and select the desired indicators in the frame that follows.
You can also change the sorting method in a similar way. It is enough to create a new layout in the right column and save this setting by selecting the Save as preset columns option. Finally, for each campaign, ad group or ad, you can select the View data option and open a section that allows you to perform a quick analysis. This is especially handy if you want to display different periods and compare their effectiveness. Now you know how you can monitor the performance of the entire account, but also how to analyze individual campaigns.
